A Partner in Your Benefits

We recognize that our job is to be a true partner, not just another salesperson.

Since 2001 we have been helping small businesses and the self employed find the most cost efficient options for benefits and healthcare.

In 2008 we decided to create a separate company, XL Benefits, to focus exclusively on providing small businesses with a Large Business benefits experience.

You spend a lot of money providing benefits, isn't it worth a 10 minute conversation to see how you could improve your benefits satisfaction by up to 54%?*

We help small business improve
retention & benefits satisfaction through effective benefits communication.

You can keep the same plan and continue paying the same monthly premiums.

What You Can Expect

Step 1: The first thing we do is sit down and discuss what you are trying to accomplish by providing benefit.  What has worked and just as important what are the things you would like to have happen.  We also need to understand your employee’s perception of your benefits.

Step 2: This depends upon what stage you are in.  If you’re at renewal we will secure a census and each employee submits a medical questionnaire (this allows us to understand any underwriting issues that we may face).

If there are at least 5 months until your renewal the next step is to secure a Agent/Broker of Record letter  that allows us to act on your behalf in regards to your benefits.  We then begin implementing your benefits portal and online HR Support Center.

Step 3: If you are in the renewal phase, we will secure quotes from the top carriers.  We will then condense this information into an benefits analysis and present your options.  We then guide you in making your benefits choices.

Step 4:  We then schedule and conduct a benefits enrollment, including a benefits training session that educates your employees about their benefits and presents the reasoning behind any changes.

Step 5: Once your plan is approved we then begin implementing the Engagement Process which will be active through the next enrollment (for information on the Engagement Process, visit the What We Do page).

Step 6: At your next Renewal we will go through the same process again.
